Strawberry Lemonade

It's the height of strawberry season, which coincides with the tail end of lemon season in my yard. Strawberries and lemons, now that's a delicious sounding match. Kids, young and old, love both. Why not mix them together?

Ingredients:

1 cup sliced strawberries
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp lemon zest
3 Tbs. agave nectar
2 Tbs. sugar (use lavender sugar!)
2 cups cold water or sparkling water

Directions:  Blend sliced strawberries together with the lemon juice, zest, and sweeteners. Stir in water, and serve over ice.

Serves 4

Stealthy Cooking Tip: Agave nectar is sweeter than sugar, which mean you can cut the amount of sugar you'd normally use. This lowers both the calories and the glycemic index of this drink.
